Job summary
You will be responsible for reception and general administrative
duties within the Practice and work with our established processes, policies,
and procedures to provide a comprehensive high- quality service.
Main duties of the job
To receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls in
order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking
messages and dealing with appropriate queries.
Providing clerical assistance to practice staff as required, filing,
photocopying, and scanning.
Electronic filing and distributing letters electronically to clinicians.
File patient records and correspondence in patient medical records.
Sort and date stamp all incoming patient-related mail.
Cover sickness/annual leave and work reasonable overtime when required.
Perform any other relevant and reasonable duties that may be requested by the
Practice Manager, reception manager or partners.
To
establish and maintain filing and administrative systems so that written or
computer information is easily accessible and secure.

We are large forward thinking practice of 15,000+ patients, providing quality healthcare and outcomes for our patients in the North Trafford area. We operate from two sites Chester Road and Seymour Grove.
The team at NTGP comprises of 3 GP Partners, 8 Salaried GPs, 2 Physician Associates, 2 Pharmacists, 1 FCP and 6 Nursing staff along with non-clinical team of 30+ staff led by the Business Manager.
Our practices have been rated as Good by CQC and we take pride in delivering quality care to our patients and have a strong training and personal development ethos. We are part of North Trafford Primary Care Network one of the partners is the Clinical Director.
We are using EMIS Web and DOCMAN as our clinical system along with Ask My GP to provide digital platform to our patients.

- The post-holder will manage their own and others health & safety and infection control as defined in the Practices Health & Safety Policy, the Practice Health & Safety Manual, and the Practices Infection Control Policy and published procedures.
- Comply with Practice health & safety policies by following agreed safe working procedures.
- Actively report health & safety hazards and infection hazards immediately
- Keeping work and general areas clean and tidy, and using appropriate infection control procedures to keep work areas hygienic and safe from contamination
- Awareness and compliance with national standards of infection control, hygiene, regulatory / contractual / professional requirements, and good practice guidelines.
- Correct personal use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensuring correct use of PPE by others, advising on appropriate circumstances for use by clinicians, staff and patients.

Using personal security systems within the workplace according to

- Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills
