Major Oak Medical Practice is looking for an experienced practice
nurse to join our busy team. Hours are 21 hours per week over 2.5 days. Salary
is dependent on experience and qualifications. Experience in a GP practice is
essential.

Main duties of the job
Responsibilities include chronic disease management, wound care and minor injuries, cytology, childhood immunisations, travel vaccination, NHS Health Checks, ECGs, 24 hour BP monitring, contraception advice, assisting GPs in minor operation session, treatment room tasks including general immunisations; delivering health promotion and health education to patients addressing key lifestyle issues i.e. smoking, weight, diet etc

7200 list size with 3 GP Partners, GP registrar, Clinical Pharmacists, Nurse Prescriber, Practice Nurse, GP Assistant, First contact Physiotherapist, Social Prescribers, Phlebotomist, Acute Home Visiting Team and supportive admin and reception teams
- Working in partnership with proactive Patient Participation Group (PPG)
