Job summary
Purbeck Health Centre is recruiting an experienced Practice Nurse to join our established general practice team on a permanent, part-time basis (24 hours per week, worked over three days).
This is a hands-on clinical role combining treatment room duties and long-term conditions clinics. You will be supporting our patients across a wide range of nursing services while also playing an active part in infection prevention and control within the practice.
We are looking for someone confident, organised, and clinically strong, who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team and takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Job summary
This Practice Nurse role works primarily across:

Infection Prevention and Control experience is essential. The post holder will work closely with our Advanced Nurse Practitioner to support IPC governance, audits, evidence gathering, and ongoing compliance with NHS and CQC requirements.
You will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care, working autonomously within your scope of practice, while contributing positively to clinical governance and service development.

You will also undertake structured reviews for patients with long-term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, hypertension, and COPD, contributing to safe and effective care pathways.
A key part of this role is active involvement in Infection Prevention and Control. This includes supporting audits, monitoring compliance, maintaining evidence, and promoting best practice across the team.
The role requires confident clinical judgement, good communication skills, and a strong commitment to patient safety, clinical governance, and teamwork.
