Job Title: Part-Time GP Surgery Receptionist
Location: Purbeck Health Centre, Milton Keynes
Hours: Monday to Friday
- Option 1: 08:00 - 13:30
- Option 2: 14:00 - 18:30

Main duties of the job
Greeting and Registering Patients: Welcome and register patients, updating their details.
Handling Phone Calls: Answer calls, direct them to the right person, and provide general information.
Booking and Managing Appointments: Schedule, cancel, and remind patients about appointments.
Addressing Enquiries: Assist with patient queries and provide information about services.
Processing Patient Data: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Handling Prescriptions: Process repeat prescriptions and liaise with doctors.
Administrative Support: Assist with filing, photocopying, and other administrative tasks.
Processing Payments: Handle payments for private services and issue receipts.
Supporting Healthcare Team: Provide administrative help to doctors, nurses, and other staff.
Coordinating with External Services: Liaise with hospitals and other services for referrals and test results.
Emergency Response: Assist in managing emergency situations at the practice.
Customer Service: Ensure patients are treated with respect and handle complaints professionally.
