Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join the team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the practice whilst maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients. Responsibilities
Main duties of the job
Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage all aspects of patient scheduling processes. Answer phone calls, addressing enquiries/directing calls to appropriate team members. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with data protection regulations. Process patient forms, insurance information, and payments as required. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, with experience of using EMIS and Docman. Collaborate with clinicians to ensure efficient patient flow and communication within the team. Handle any issues/concerns raised by patients with professionalism, empathy and sensitivity.
Previous experience administrative role is preferred, ideally within a healthcare setting. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues professionally. Proficient user of IT systems including medical software systems, such as EMIS and Docman. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment. A compassionate attitude towards patients and a commitment to providing high-quality service.

Job Type: Full-time Expected hours 37.5 hours per week
Benefits: Company pension On-site parking Schedule: Monday to Friday -occasional weekend work for flu clinics etc.
Experience: Administrative role is preferred, ideally within a healthcare setting.
Work Location: In Person
The practice works across four sites each within a less than 5 minute drive from each other. It is essential you drive as you will work across these locations.
