Receptionist (Full-Time/Part-Time)
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Receptionist to join our welcoming GP practice team. The ideal candidate should have prior receptionist experience and familiarity with SystmOne. As a GP receptionist, you will be responsible for assisting patients in accessing the appropriate healthcare services, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. Flexibility is key, as the role may require adapting to the daily needs of the practice, including covering annual leave and absences.
Main duties of the job

Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls, ensuring courteous, prompt, and clear communication.

Accurately relay messages to the appropriate team members.

Process online consultation forms using SystmOne for clinical triage.

Welcome and direct patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.

Assist the practice team in delivering high-quality patient services.

Work collaboratively with other reception staff to maintain efficient operations.

Schedule and manage patient appointments.

Handle patient-related administrative tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Register new patients and update patient records (e.g., address changes).

Process repeat prescription requests.

Open and close the practice as required.

Manage patient referrals based on GP instructions.
