Job summary
We are looking for two Receptionist / Administration Assistants to join our busy practice team.
The successful candidate will be a people person, an excellent communicator and a team player. They will be highly motivated, organised and efficient. Experience of working within a similar role in NHS care would be beneficial, but not essential.
The hours available for both roles are 5 hours a day, 25 hours a week in total with the following shifts available;
Mondays: 13:00 - 18:00 x2
Tuesdays: 08:00 - 13:00 or 13:00 - 18:00
Wednesdays:
08:00 - 13:00 or 13:00 - 18:00
Thursdays:
08:00 - 13:00 or 13:00 - 18:00
Fridays:
13:00 - 18:00 x2

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join our large, friendly administrative team in assisting patients and keeping on top of the important day-to-day administrative work needed to ensure that the practice runs smoothly.

sites. Our large Elmwood Health Centre (Holmfirth) site has excellent
facilities and offers a wide range of services. Our Meltham Village Surgery
(Meltham) site is conveniently located in the heart of the local community. We

To assist with
providing a comprehensive and high-quality GP service to our patients by acting
as a first point of contact for patients and other visitors or callers, and by
providing a friendly, efficient and accurate service for the booking of appointments
and other administrative tasks.
This will include (but
is not limited to):
· Dealing with
patient enquiries both at the front desk and on the telephone and directing
them to the most appropriate service.
· Booking
appointments for patients.
· Using a computer
to enter practice data, update patient records and record accurate information
for the safety of patients.
· Processing repeat
prescription requests.
· Scanning correspondence
to digital patient records.
· Chaperoning
patients.
· Processing patient
registrations.
· Processing
results.
· Re-stocking clinical
rooms.
· Taking
messages for the clinical and management team.
· Filing
patient records.
