Elmwood Family Doctors is a large, modern GP Practice with an excellent reputation for patient care.
We are looking for two Receptionists/ Telephonists to join our team. If you are motivated to make a meaningful contribution to the provision of high-quality healthcare in your local area and work well in a team, this may be the role for you.
The role will be part time, split across our two sites with varied tasks and a competitive rate of pay.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for two Receptionists to join our team.
The role involves assisting patients, booking appointments, responding to
queries and signposting to appropriate support. This is largely done through
telephone assistance, but also includes face to face patient service on the reception
desk. The successful candidate will spend part of each shift working in our
telephone room with a team of friendly colleagues who will provide ongoing
support alongside training. A strong customer service background and ability to
work well within a team is essential.
The role also involves administration work, which includes registering
new patients, updating patient records, and processing referrals, samples and
repeat prescriptions. Although full training will be provided, excellent IT skills
are essential and some experience in administrative roles would be beneficial.
The successful candidate will be a people person, a good communicator and
a team player. They will be highly motivated, organised and efficient.
Experience of working within a similar role in NHS care would be beneficial,
but not essential.

Our large Holmfirth site has excellent facilities and offers a wide range of services. Our Meltham site is conveniently located in the heart of the local village community. We offer a full range of healthcare services to approximately 15,000 patients across both sites.

by acting as the first point of contact for patients and others, and by
providing a friendly, efficient and accurate service for the booking of appointments

Were looking for two Receptionists, to work on a part-time basis approximately 21 hours per week to be worked;
The hours will be agreed according to the successful
candidates availability and our rota requirements, but may include shifts of
8am to 1pm and/or 1pm to 6pm availability.
Our staff work across both of our sites, Holmfirth and
Meltham. This flexibility means our staff can build successful working relationships
with all of their colleagues, get to know our patients and enjoy a more varied
role. The successful candidate will need to be able to travel to both locations.
In order to ensure excellent patient service and team work, this is an on-site
role and home-working will not be practical.
