An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic forward-thinking GP to
join our practice as a Salaried GP working 4- 6 sessions per week over 3 days
The ideal candidate will be
passionate about the future of general practice and providing good quality care
to our patient population.
Brookvale Practice looks after a population of 9000 patients, we are
situated in Runcorn which has close motorway links to Manchester, Liverpool,
and North Wales.
Our excellent clinical team
consists of 8 GPs , 1 ANP , 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Nurse Associate , extended clinical ARRS
roles including , Clinical Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician alongside 2 GPAs
with 12 supportive reception and administration staff.
The successful candidate will join our friendly, supportive, innovative
team and share our ethos and approach of putting patients first. We are
a highly regarded training practice rated as Good by CQC following our inspection visit in
November 2023. We use EMIS Web, GPs have
15 min appointments with at least 2 clinicians working on call. We support GPs
to develop clinical interests and develop extended roles and we would welcome
interest from newly qualified GPs.

Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomous
practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the
practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst
complying with the contract.
Furthermore, the post
holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice,
contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example,
maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the
multidisciplinary team.

The following are
the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. There may be, on occasion, a
requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such
as workload and staffing levels:
a. The delivery of highly effective medical
care to the entitled population
b.
The
provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract
c.
Generic
prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
d.
Effective
management of long-term conditions
e.
Processing
of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription
requests and other associated administrative tasks
f.
On
a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
g.
Maintain
accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and
guidance
h.
Work
collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
i.
Adhere
to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process

Contribute
to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality
