Are you a registered Paramedic Practitioner / Prescriber looking to join a fantastic and diverse team?
We are looking for a PP to complement our friendly team of NPs, Physician Associates and GP's providing urgent, on the day care to a growing list of nearly 20,000 patients.
We have developed a model which separates out on the day from 'routine' care. We aim to provide good access for patients with urgent problems but also provide continuity for those with more complex needs.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the delivery of evidence-based services in our urgent care centre, working as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. Paramedic Practitioners have the freedom and authority to act and make autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
The PP provides an opportunity for patients to avoid the need to be referred to a GP, thereby enabling them to receive timely care and negate unnecessary delay in receiving treatment. Working autonomously, the PP will be required to work in our urgent care department along side our team.
About us
Based in an excellent location on the Hampshire/Surrey border in Farnborough, we have a fabulous purpose designed building. We are co-located with community nursing, an integrated care team, community midwifery and paramedic home visiting team.
Although the largest practice in Farnborough, we are a friendly team and work hard to maintain our family atmosphere. We have a highly skilled team of GPs, NPs, Physician Associates, Practice Nurses, HCAs, a Mental Health Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technician and Physiotherapists. A great admin team are employed to support us all.
General Practice is hard work, but we aim to provide high quality care at the same time as sustaining a healthy work/life balance. We are committed to training and career development for our growing team of allied health care practitioners.
