Are you an organised and proactive individual looking to support a team through effective operations and administration? Leeds Student Medical Practice and The Light Surgery Primary Care Network (PCN) are seeking a dedicated Operations Assistant to support our expanding team and help ensure smooth daily operations.

Working Hours: This is a part-time role, offering flexibility within, 22.5- 30 hours per week,with a requirement to work on Wednesdays. Were open to discussing a variety of work patterns to suit the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

As the Operations Assistant, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the PCN by managing a variety of operational and administrative tasks. This includes organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes, as well as creating and maintaining staff rotas. You will coordinate inductions for new team members, file and maintain essential records, and update PCN policies. Additionally, you will conduct regular audits, generate reports, and provide ad hoc support by serving as the primary contact for handling and resolving day-to-day operational and administrative queries within the team.

Leeds student medical practice and The Light Surgery form our Primary Care Network, which works collaboratively to ensure high quality, equitable, and sustainable care. We work together to represent over 57,000 patients and strive to provide outstanding support. Our work remains rooted in the local communities that we serve which is predominately student and young adult populations, so an interest in these populations is a must for this role.

Our Primary Care Network comprises a diverse team of 30 healthcare professionals, including clinical pharmacists, physiotherapists, social prescribers, care coordinators, and mental health advisers. Together, we provide a broad range of services to enhance patient access and capacity across the two practices making up our network.
