Job summary

The Riverside Practice is a well-established Friendly GP practice located in March, Cambridgeshire. A Friendly practice with around 7,500 Patients and still growing. Riverside have a dedicated team consisting of a GP partner, Salaried GP, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Nurse Associate, HCAs as well as good supportive administrative and management team who are committed to providing high-quality care and support to our patients.

As a Practice we also work with the Fenland PCN and this comprises of three other surgeries in the area

Main duties of the job

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, safe, effective primary medical care to registered patients
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions in line with evidence-based practice and national/local guidelines.
  • Provide continuity of care and holistic management of patients
  • Review and action clinical correspondence, pathology results, and hospital letters
  • Prescribe in accordance with practice policies and local formularies.
  • Participate in clinical audits, significant event analyses, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • clinical lead responsibility in areas i.e. : Safeguarding, long term conditions, Mental Health, Prescribing

Professional Responsibilities

  • Maintain GMC registration and revalidation requirements.
  • Participate in clinical meetings
  • Maintain accurate clinical records as per GPDR and practice policies
  • Engage in continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Looking to support students by completing the GP trainer program within 12 months of joining practice. Supporting in house development and mentoring
  • Demonstrate good leadership and communication skills
  • Work with the Practice Manager on new ways of taking the practice forward financially and delivery of contractual changes.
