Job summary

An ideal opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join this busy but friendly practice. We are a medium sized general practice looking after 12500 patients looking for a enthusiastic and competent team player to join us in our reception. Full training will be given. The role includes front reception, telephone and general reception based duties. You will be friendly, versatile and able to rise to a challenge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

Main duties of the job

Working in a busy office environment you will be required to run the front reception desk meeting patients, answering the telephone and handling a wide variety of requests. Part of the role requires you to prepare prescription requests for the GP so accuracy and numeracy skills will be required. Ability to work hard as part of a team and also as an individual is key for the successful candidate

A caring and compassionate nature is helpful when dealing with the patients

The role is 25 hours/week Mon-Fri working 5 hours each day

Our practice has grown in the last few years and each new member of the team has been welcomed as individuals. We are a busy practice and many of our staff say it is a great place to work as they feel supported by the GPs and management team
