Job summary

Our well-established and highly regarded medical practice is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and forward-thinking Practice Manager to support our commitment to delivering exceptional general practice services. This role presents an exciting opportunity to join our large training practice which prides itself in combining innovation with the traditional values of patient-centred family medicine.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced manager with strong HR and business acumen who can drive positive change and growth whilst collaborating closely with our experienced and dedicated practice team.

Main duties of the job

As the practice manager, you will take the lead in overseeing the overall running of the practice, including HR management for all practice staff.You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations and managing the business aspects of the practice, with the support of the Office Manager. Staying informed about local and national healthcare initiatives and maximizing the practice's potential will be central to your responsibilities.

Job responsibilities

Provide leadership and management skills to enable the practice to meets its agreed aims and objectives with a safe, efficient and effective working environment.

Working closely with the Partners on all aspects of practice management and developing the staff and practice.

Managing all aspects of the practice, e.g. Quality Care and Governance, Project Management, HR, Stakeholder Engagement, Patient Services, IT and Health & Safety.

Managing all aspects of staffing, e.g. recruitment, appraisals, etc

Managing the financial elements of the organisation, including budgets], petty cash, etc. seeking to maximise income and reduce expenditure in conjunction with the partners. Maintaining an effective liaison with the accountant, overseeing organisation accounts, ensuring year-end figures are presented.

Briefing partners on all financial matters, including forecasting.
