Service Delivery Manager - Sutton Coldfield Group Practice

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Sutton Coldfield Group Practice and play a key part in developing and delivering outstanding patient services.

We are looking for a talented, driven and experienced healthcare manager to join us as Service Delivery Manager, taking accountability for the patient experience at all six of our sites to over 50,000 patients. You will be supported by a strong team of dedicated managers and a group of innovative and progressive GP partners.

The Service Delivery Manager will ensure our patient experience is outstanding, motivate teams and deliver tangible results whilst adopting and applying the most appropriate lean and agile techniques. We provide a range of primary care services to our patients including minor surgery, sexual health, and a vaccination centre. We operate an urgent care on the day service, also supported by our contact centre.

Main duties of the job

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong portfolio of experience in the NHS. We are looking for someone who is familiar with and motivated by the challenges and complexities of operational delivery across a wide and diverse system. It is essential that you are a confident and resilient individual who can build effective relationships with internal stakeholders. It is crucial that you are able to demonstrate a high level of autonomy and have the ability to adopt a flexible and adaptive approach to your work to meet ever changing needs, usually in a fast paced environment. You will have considerable experience of leading and managing change, be proactive and possess demonstrable leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills are imperative as is being authentic and committed.

If upon joining SCGP, you are currently a patient at one of the SCGP practices, you will be asked to transfer to a different practice. During your probation, unless there is no other alternative available for you, you will be expected to transfer to another practice to ensure that you are not treated by a colleague.
