Job summary
Westcroft House Surgery is a small independent practice with around 6000 patients. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our friendly team for 4 sessions per week.
We are set in a semi rural location in West Cumbria.
We are well regarded, with high patient satisfaction and a high QOF achieving practice.
One of our GP Partners is the Clinical Director of the PCN and we host a wide array of multidisciplinary staff.
We are a training practice and supportive of any specialist interests to develop.
We have a strong focus of maintaining a good work life balance.

Main duties of the job
The job responsibilities the role of salaried GP are:
To provide high quality medical services to patients registered at Westcroft House Surgery
To provide a full range of services in line with the requirements of GMS contract & Enhanced Services contract.
Refer patients as appropriate in accordance with local procedures
Undertake duties such as prescription signing, prescribing reviews, telephone advice, on call Doctor, manage long term conditions in accordance with practice and national clinical guidelines . Prescribe generically and in accordance with the practice formulary. To provide appropriate health promotion advice to patients.
Adhere to practice guidelines, policies & procedures.
Practice evidence based medicine.
Take ongoing responsibility for patients with difficult & complex problems including consistent follow through.
Participate in audit & quality improvement process.
Maintain clinical records in line with good practice and accordance with practice procedures including appropriate clinical coding as agreed with the practice.
Contribute to the practices clinical governance and quality activities including clinical audit.
