Job summary

We are seeking a passionate salaried GP to join our small friendly team. Burford Surgery is in the heart of the Cotswolds. It is an innovative, highly regarded, and welcoming practice of two partners and three salaried GPs. We are seeking a salaried GP to join our experienced healthcare team. It is an opportunity to practice medicine with a focus on delivering continuity of care to patients. 6- 8 sessions per week. No weekends or on call commitments after 6-30pm.

Main duties of the job

Routine appointments - Telephone or Face to Face

Duty appointments - urgent on day appointments

Managing correspondence via docman and email

Managing own test results

Point of contact/support for allied health team and administrative staff

Be an active part of the team in terms of attending practice clinical and general meetings.

About us

We are west of Witney on the edge of the Cotswolds but 30 minutes from Oxford.

We have a supportive and educational environment with an open-door policy for discussing clinical issues. An interest in teaching is a bonus - we are a training practice in the Oxford Deanery withyear 6 medical student teaching as well.

We have access to the CCG early visiting service (paramedic can perform urgent on the day visits) and urgent appointment hub in Witney.

Lunches are provided for all staff everyday ensuring we have a close, working relationship from all the teams in the surgery.

Six weeks annual leave with supported study leave.

2 purpose-built premises to accommodate our list size of approx 7500 patients. Both sites are traditional rural practices and we dispense to.

We are exceptionally high QOF achieving, rated good by CQC and received excellent results from the recent national patient survey.

Our supportive team is made up of 3 salaried GPs, ANP, Practice Nurses, ,HCA and phlebotomists dedicated dispensary team, secretarial and reception support.

We actively participate in our local PCN.

We are modernizing our systems to lessen the paperwork burden for GPs.

Practice area consists of numerous idyllic villages in the countryside.
