Job summary

We are seeking a Full-Time Practice nurse with skills in vaccinations, cytology, phlebotomy, and desirable skills in respiratory medicine and travel vaccinations.

Main duties of the job

Vaccinations, cytology, phlebotomy,respiratory medicine, travel vaccinations. However, training and mentorship would be provided for the right candidate.

The role is full -time and we offer flexible working.

About us

We are a GP practice, based in Didsbury, Manchester looking for an enthusiastic Practice nurse to join our existing team of nurses and HCAs with a current list size of approximately 16,000 patients.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly, inclusive training practice and would welcome any expressions of interest in this particular role.

Benefits include: 30 days annual leave per year, staff uniform and NHS Pension Scheme.

Hours will be full-time with flexibility of start and finish time -Monday- Friday

Job responsibilities

Job summaryThe post holder is responsible for the delivery of general practice nursing to the whole practice population. The focus of the role is both the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients presenting with a long-term condition, and the provision of preventative health care to the practice population. As an autonomous practitioner the nurse is responsible for the care delivered, demonstrating critical thinking and skills in clinical decision-making in the management of patients. They will work collaboratively within the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, support the delivery of policy and procedures, and provide nurse leadership as required.
