Hastings & Rother Healthcare are currently looking for a full-time Service Delivery Manager to join our dynamic and evolving organisation. Previous experience of working in a busy working environment is required.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for all areas of service delivery within the organisation, to include: the management of clinical resources, rotas, locums and templates, appointments and contractual requirements around service delivery. Ideally, you'll have a natural flare and interest in IT and systems.

Working closely with the other senior managers and central team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the practices clinical service delivery. This includes being a single point of contact for all clinical staff in the absence of their direct line or clinical manager, the line management and managerial supervision of the GPs & Lead Clinical Pharmacist, ensuring that staff performance and sickness is managed. You will be responsible for managing clinical annual leave requests and will work with other senior managers and line managers in terms of managing this.

You will responsible for the organisations IT requirements; which includes, but not limited to: IT hardware/software, clinical programmes, printers and organising EMIS training for new starters,

You will promote outstanding customer service and effective working relationships. Furthermore, you will support the other senior Managers and Partners with wider patient services and staff needs of the organisation and be the organisations PCN link-manager.

  • Experience of managing multiple services/teams;
  • Experience of working in General Practice;
  • Extensive experience of using General Practice Systems, such as EMIS, AccuRx etc.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team;
  • The ability to respond to appropriate requests for assistance, maintaining confidentiality whenever necessary;
  • Good organisational skills;
  • Use a methodical working approach and meet deadlines;
  • Demonstrable project management experience
  • Demonstrable communications experience

Desirable

  • Extensive knowledge and skill in using Excel
