Job summary

We are looking for an experienced receptionist to join our large friendly team.

Training and full induction will be carried out. FLEXIBILITY IS ESSENTIAL to cover 5 days with a total of 20 to 25 hours a week.

Qualifications Required: basic math's and English grade c or above.

Emis web knowledge desirable but not essential.

The main aspect of the role is to support our reception team to deliver primary care services to the patients.

We have a well established team offering telephone and front line support and advice to our patients.

Job responsibilities

  1. Arrange appointments and requests for home visits, including emergencies in keeping with the Practice Protocol.

  2. To make appointments for patients with the GPs, Practice Nurses, Phlebotomists or for any adhoc clinics.

  3. To notify and action all relevant bodies in relation to deceased patients.

  4. To respond to all incoming telephone calls promptly and in a courteous manner giving your first name as a point of contact. Take/re-direct messages both accurately and timely.

  5. To action the relevant GPs dairy on a daily basis/internal e-mail requests.

  6. Respond to all queries and requests for assistance from patients and visitors at reception in a polite and courteous manner.
