Job summary
We
are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed salaried GP to join
our team at Tudor Medical Group. Our practice is located in Wolverhampton with
a circa 21,350 patient list size over 4
locations, all within close proximity.
We
have an experienced clinical team comprising of:
- General Practitioners
- Physician Associates
- Pharmacist Practitioners
- Nurse Practitioners
- Clinical Pharmacists
- Pharmacist Technicians
- Physiotherapist
- Mental Health Practitioner
There is an experienced nursing, administrative and managerial team to enable efficient and enjoyable team work. A streamlined
proactive approach to daily work allows for a manageable daily workload. Systems
used include Emis Web, Docman, Lexacom and AccuRx.
Main duties of the job
Salaried GP to work as an autonomous practitioner and undertake
a variety of duties including:
- Face to face consultations
- Telephone consultations
- Home
visits (where necessary)
- Supervision and training of colleagues and the wider allied healthcare professionals working within the team at specified times.
- Checking and approving repeat prescriptions
- Dealing
with queries / tasks
- Correspondence
- Private medical reports
The role and responsibilities are not exhaustive or limited to the above.
The GP will be assessing the health care needs of patients and making
professional, autonomous decisions as part of patient consultations. This will include safe and appropriate prescribing / treatment plans.
Overall the salaried GP will be expected to undertake all usual
duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Experience

- 1) Experience of working in a primary care environment
- 2) Experience of QOF and clinical audit
- 3) Ability to supervise colleagues and allied healthcare professionals within clinical team
- 4) Ability to make good, clear, concise medical notes
- 5) Level of clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with that of an experienced GP
- 6) Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- 7) Strong IT skills - including use of EMIS and Docman
