Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated GP
to join our friendly, innovative team. We are flexible in our approach and
would welcome applications for 6 - 8 sessions per week.
We have a strong patient centred ethos maintaining 'usual
doctor' lists to achieve continuity and a high standard of care. We are proud
to have been able to maintain a traditional mainly face to face appointment
system with no triage and no duty doctor!
Main duties of the job
Provide high quality patient care
Carry out face to face and telephone consultations and undertake home visits
Liaise with other team members and organisations involved in patient care and respond promptly to queries
Investigate and refer patients as appropriate in line with current guidance
Deal promptly with results and correspondence
Collect data for audit and QOF purposes
Excellent communication with patients and carers
Attend clinical, clinical governance and educational meetings
Strong team player
Strong collaborative working relationships with partners and all team members
Effectively manage own time, workload and resources
Attend required training events e.g. PLT and feedback
Reporting of Significant Incidents involving the practice
About us
We are a 5 partner GMS dispensing practice serving a largely rural community just outside Scarborough, situated on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors but only minutes drive from the coast. We are within reasonable driving distance (40 mins) of the historic City of York.
- List size just over 9000 patients
- Two main sites and two smaller branch sites

- Develop care and treatment plans in consultation with patients and in line with current Practice protocols as well as wider guidance e.g. NICE

- Excellent time keeping.
- Team player.
- Good understanding of GMS contracting requirements.
