Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Dispenser who is qualified to level 2 NVQ to join our friendly and supportive dispensary team. The post is for 24 hours per week on a fixed rota basis. You must be flexible to provide cover for holiday and sickness for your colleagues. You must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and comunication skills and be able to prioritise your workload. A flexible, professional and enthusiastic approach is essential along with a desire to deliver an excellent service to our patients.

Main duties of the job

Working alongside other trained Dispensers, clinical and administration staff you will be responsible for providing an excellent service by dispensing prescribed medication to our patients. Applicants must be able to process and provide quick, efficient and accurate dispensing of medication to the patients, as authorised by the GP's in accordance with the principles of good practice.

We are a 5 partner GMS dispensing practice serving a largely rural community just outside Scarborough and situated on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors but only minutes drive from the coast. We have a strong patient centred ethic and require an enthusiastic Dispenser to join our friendly team. We are a training practice and have four surgery sites and currently serve almost 9000 registered patients.
