Main duties of the job
- Supporting the practice manager dealing with administrative queries and tasks on their behalf
- To assist the practice management team with clerical and administrative duties
- Liaise with wider system, outside agencies, secondary care and ICB
- Arranging meetings, inviting attendees and booking appropriate rooms.
- Attending meetings as note taker, producing minutes, marking out follow up actions, and distributing minutes.
- To establish, and maintain, filing and administrative systems so that written or computer information is easily accessible and secure.
- To receive incoming, and initiate outgoing telephone calls, in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries
- Forge and maintain successful working relationships with all key contacts.
- To maintain the System One clinical system in an accurate and secure manner
- To monitor the practice enquiries, letters and email inboxes
- Processing forms prior to passing to the GP e.g. private medicals and insurance forms etc
- To assist with the gathering of statistics and information when required
- Amending and inputting of Clinical systems rotas
- Apply practice policies, standards and guidance and amend if requested
- Any other responsibilities that the practice manager feels necessary to the role of a PA.
