Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately code clinical information using the appropriate coding systems (e.g., Read Codes, SNOMED CT).
- Summarise patient medical letters and records, ensuring all relevant information is captured and recorded.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient records.
- Maintain confidentiality and always adhere to data protection regulations.
- Assist with audits and quality improvement initiatives related to clinical coding and record summarisation.
- Stay updated with changes in coding standards and practices.
- File and store records as required
- Photocopy documentation as required
- Scan patient related documentation and attach scanned documents to patients healthcare records
- GP2GP transfers in a timely manner
- Dealing with GP links and NHS records , Duplicates and confusion queries
