Bromley by Bow Health is a multi-site, pioneering General Practice organisation in the East End of London. Committed to creating healthy communities, we work in close partnership with the Bromley by Bow Centre who offer a range of programmes and services helping to improve health and wellbeing. We provide primary care services across four general practices in Tower Hamlets, covering approximately 50,000 patients and a wonderful team of over 200 people.

We want to appoint an Executive Director to help us achieve our ambition to deliver a radical model of next generation general practice. This is a developing role requiring an experienced, confident, forward-thinking and innovative Executive Director who would be leading our Senior Management Team and working in collaboration with the Partners.
Salary: in the range £75,000 - £78,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Main duties of the job
Job purpose
To support the organisation to deliver its Vision, Mission and Values.
In collaboration with partners to
Lead on business development and financial sustainability
Lead on development of governance and culture and drive change.
Provide senior leadership and management across the organisation.
The post holder occupies a particular position of responsibility and trust, as they have access to sensitive patient, staff and business information. The post holder should have excellent organisational skills and have the ability to work as part of a team and also on their own initiative.
This role is responsible to the Partnership Board.

Bromley by Bow Health is a multi-site GP partnership committed to creating healthy communities. We are based across four GP practices in the borough of Tower Hamlets, covering approximately 50,000 patients across four different sites (XX Place Health Centre, St Andrew's Health Centre, Bromley by Bow Health Centre and St Pauls Way Medical Centre) which account for over 10% of the Borough of Tower Hamlets population and a team of 200 people. Job responsibilities
Lead on business development and financial sustainability
Be highly knowledgeable about key policy developments in all areas affecting health and wellbeing.
Working with partners to develop the Partnership strategy; formulate objectives and research and develop ideas for future development
Build productive relationships with commissioners and key stakeholders at the local, Primary Care Network and integrated system level.
Produce a business and finance development plan which articulates the ambition and tactical position of the organisation to grow and sustain the business.
Lead on the identification of, and bidding for, new business.
Manage all aspects of contract delivery from procurement, through mobilisation to delivery.
Optimise the business levers available through local and wider networks including the Primary Care Network, collaboration with the Bromley by Bow Centre, BBBH Ltd, and any other identified opportunities.
Lead on development of culture and drive change
Provide the framework in which the culture of the organisation can develop.
As the business expands, manage the process of integrating new and existing parts of the organisation.
Support the development of the existing governance arrangements. Ensure that learning is captured and shared.
Assist the Partners in developing organisational structure/s suitable for sustainable primary care.
Guide the organisation through transition producing documentation, frameworks and processes to manage any changes required, whether in governance, the model or in roles.
Provide senior leadership and management across the organisation
Support and line manage the Senior Management Team (SMT)
Enable the SMT to work collegially, facilitating a sense of equality of leadership.
Support the personal and professional development of the SMT.
Support the SMT to work collaboratively and co-productively with Partners, other members of staff and patients.
