Extensive
use of GP clinical systems (System One) and linked software in line with
Practice policy.
Provide
accurate quality data to support practice projects and development.
To
participate and positively encourage the use of the practice IT systems to
their full potential.
Recommend
changes and development to maximise the practices use of IT to improve working practices
and patient care.
Lead
and project manage and implement changes to IMT as agreed by the Partners to
meet the practice objectives and external IT requirements.
Collaborate
with external health and social care agencies to implement IT systems and communications
which apply across boundaries.
Manage
the practice website and social media pages ensuring up to date information and
resources are always available.
To
understand, manage and input clinical data to assist with day-to-day trouble
shooting and the management of computer hardware and software and the general
duties of a clinical data administrator.
To
implement strategies and processes to ensure high quality of standardized data
capture across the practice and team.
Lead
and maintain robust and high-quality clinical information systems to improve the
care of patients and achieve GP contract targets.
In
liaison with the team leader manage the Document Management / Note Summarising and Registration Teams, auditing data
quality and accuracy.
In
liaison with the team leader manage the Medical Records Team, monitoring the
flow of incoming and outgoing records.
Manage
and support the Data Quality team, ensuring submission deadlines are met.
To ensure
that the internal coding practices
In
liaison with the team leader manage the Recall Team, ensuring all invitations
are sent in a timely manner.
Manage
and support the Medical Report Team, ensuring obligations to provide data are
lawful and timeframe is met.
Liaise with the team leaders to ensure all administrative roles are
covered when planned and unplanned absences occur.
In
liaison with the team leaders create and review all protocols and flow charts
the teams use as part of their day-to-day duties.
To
support the Practice Manager and management team with enhanced services,
ensuring payments are received to NHS England (CQRS), CCG and Public Health in
a timely manner.
Act
as the practice System One super user to run clinical reports for claims and
audit purposes.
Monitor work on QOF throughout the year and
alert the relevant clinician / Qof lead on any issues or outstanding work.
Understand the practice obligations and
requirements for the annual Information Governance toolkit
In liaison with the other managers ensure
staff understand and are up to date with Information governance,
confidentiality, data security, and data protection.
Assist
in an annual validation of patients coded with Mental Health in remission.
Cancer Champion
and Cytology Administrative Lead.
Proactively
look at ways to increase cancer screening uptake and with the nursing managers oversee
the Cancer screening uptake programs AAA, Bowel, Breast, Cervical.
Ensure transgender patients have screening
follow up processes in place, for new and existing patients.
In
liaison with the Nursing Manager, manage the Learning Disability register and
validation process.
Ensure
that the practice maximizes income opportunities ie manage the seasonal flu invitations
to ensure all patients are included in the relevant submissions.
Assist
the Caldicott Guardian with Information Governance procedures and submissions.
The
post-holder is responsible for arranging Information Governance training and
monitoring standards within the Practice.
To
ensure the practice adheres to the data protection laws.
Monitor
staff performance, completing annual appraisals and probation reviews for staff
and support the team leaders.
Provide
training and education to improve the skills of the practice team to embrace
and maximise the use of IT and the use of software.
Ensure
that your own personal development needs are identified and met, and those of
the teams you manage.
Sit
on recruitment panels.

Oversee
holiday requests and sickness absence of directly accountable team.
Ensure
the team have up to date training plans and eLearning is completed.
To
undertake regular delegated tasks and special projects if required. .
Liaise on behalf of the practice with the DPO.
Represent the practice at meetings and events.
The post holder must be able to travel to all
sites as when required.
The post holder will regularly attend and
contribute to the managers meeting.
The Post holder will deliver training and
educational sessions as and when required for the development of the IT systems
in the practice.
