Darwen Healthcare is currently looking for one Medical Administration Clerk to join our friendly team.
The post is part time of between 22.50 hours to 25.00 Hours

Main duties of the job
To
be responsible for undertaking a range of administrative duties associated with
Medical Legal and Subject Access Requests and the provision of administrative
support to the multidisciplinary team in terms of front door triage.
Duties can
include but are not limited to, the processing of information (electronic and
hard copy) in a timely manner, liaising with practice team members and external
agencies such as solicitors secondary care and community service providers and
in accordance with current policies.
Ensure an effective and efficient service is provided in relation to Medical Legal and Subject Access Requests
Receive and make telephone calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery.

all incoming emails related to Medical Legal, SARs and Front Door Triage
e.
Data
entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information
f.
Scanning
of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient’s
healthcare records
g.
Input
data into the patient’s healthcare records as necessary
h.
Process
requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance / solicitors’ letters
i.
Read
code data on Emis Web
j.
Answer
incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request
appropriately
k.
Manage
all administrative queries as necessary associated with Medical Legal and SARS
l.
Maintain
a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
