Job summary

Kirkburton Health Centre is seeking a part time (16 hours) Clinical Coder.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience as a Clinical Coder or similar position, have a good general education. We are seeking someone who has good teamwork, and high attention to detail.

There is some flexibility in the days and hours offered for the right candidate, however, please note you must be available on Mondays and Fridays.

Main duties of the job

Clinical coding of patient medical records from hospitals and clinical correspondence.

Accurately read-coding data on SystmOne into the patient record

Identifying relevant clinical information documented in patient correspondence, coding appropriately and completing any detailed actions.

Review all clinical letters ensuring they are processed appropriately, in line with protocols.

File and store records as required.

Action all incoming emails and mail in a timely manner in relation to clinical coding.

Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient healthcare records.

Input and extract data as required to support practice reports.
