Linden Hall Surgery

Salaried GP - 6 sessions

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

We at Linden Hall Surgery are looking to expand our team and recruit a permanent salaried GP for 6 sessions per week.

This is an excellent role for both established and newly qualified GPs in a friendly and diverse practice with a focus on work-life balance. Our ideal candidate is positive with a good sense of humour, fantastic communication skills and keen to really integrate with the current team. We are also able to sponsor Tier 2 applicants.

Main duties of the job

Your main place of work will be the very well maintained and characterful building in central Newport, with a further satellite surgery in Muxton. We also provide a GP service for the students at Harper Adam’s university. The working day is a blended mix of telephone/remote and face-to-face consultations with clinician autonomy on the way their day is structured. Individual circumstances can be accommodated, for example adjusted start/finish times to take in to account childcare requirements. We utilise EMIS, Docman 10 and AccuRx, with an emphasis on fair and reasonable admin requirements. We have a low burden of home visits and you are not required to see any ’extras’ when working a routine session. The role will consist of one duty session per week, with the potential for the occasional extra to help cover annual leave, which consists of urgent same day telephone-first appointments.

About us

Linden Hall Surgery is based in the lovely Shropshire market town of Newport, north of Telford, with a list size of 14,000 patients. The surgery currently consists of a close-knit team of 4 partners and 5 salaried GPs, alongside an expanding team of PCN ARRS members currently including a First Contact Physiotherapist, Pharmacist, Social Prescriber, Mental Health Practitioner, and Age UK Link Worker. The surgery is a training practice with two trainers and regular GP VTS placements and is highly regarded in this capacity. The surgery has embraced the new GP fellowship programme and encourages continual professional development with opportunities to work with the PCN. We always welcome new ideas and innovation, and support all doctors to be involved with practice development if they wish.
