Job summary
An exciting opportunity ha arisen for an HCA to join our friendly established and well respected medical GP practice.
Candidates should be enthusiastic, highly organized and self-motivated you will be joining our team of 10 Doctors, 2 Pharmacists, 1 senior HCA and our practice nurse.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must cover general practice HCA duties which
would include being able to take and record such procedures as BP, smoking and
smoking cessation, testing urine and taking bloods, flu (and other)
vaccinations, B12 injections, health checks and helping with all other chronic
condition monitoring eg diabetes asthma kidney disease and COPD - this list is
not exhaustive. In addition you will be
required to do admin tasks including checking drugs, equipment and ordering.
About us
The Goodinge Group Practice is a long-established GP
practice situated in the north London borough of Islington, a five minute walk
from Caledonian Road tube station on the Piccadilly line and a 10 minute walk
from Kentish Town tube station on the northern line. The practice is located in a two-storey
purpose-built health centre, which is owned by The Whittington Hospital.
There are approximately 12,000 patients registered
with the Goodinge Practice.
The
practice achieves high targets in QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework) and
participates in most national and local enhanced services and we have a CQC rating of 'Good'
