Job summary

The doctors and staff at Staverton Surgery in London are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We run call and recall services for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

Main duties of the job

Complete medical reports

Prepare letters and reports to be send to the wider multi-disciplinary team

Read and respond to letters received from the wider multi-disciplinary team such as hospital specialists and patients

About us

Our clinical team includes 5 GP Partners, who are helped by a team of regular locum GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, and the Reception & Administration Team.

  • Ability to listen actively to patients in a non-judgemental manner.

  • Patience and a calm demeanour in stressful situations.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Willingness to continue learning throughout their career

Qualifications

Essential

  • Full membership of a Medical Defence Union.
  • MRCGP or equivalent
  • Have had an annual NHS appraisal

  • GP experience (can be discussed during interview)
  • Commitment to deliver high quality, welcoming primary care service

Desirable

  • Experience using EMIS Web and Docman
