Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant looking to join a supportive and progressive general practice team? We are looking for a motivated HCA to join our large, friendly nursing team, working across four of our GP surgery sites.

Main duties of the job
As an HCA within our practice, youll support the nursing team in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Your role will include:

Taking basic observations (BP, pulse, temperature, etc.)

Wound care and dressings
-
B12 and other intramuscular injections
-
NHS Health Checks and health promotion
-
General clinical admin and support to the wider team
Youll need to be confident using IT systems to record notes and navigate patient records experience with System One is helpful but not essential. Training will be provided where needed.

Perform NHS Health Checks and promote healthy lifestyle advice

Undertake wound care and dressings under direction of nursing staff

Assist with chronic disease monitoring (e.g. blood pressure checks, urine testing)

Support the vaccination programme (e.g. flu clinics), depending on experience
