Job summary

Ashington House Surgery are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individuals to fulfil 2 roles within our expanding busy reception team. An exciting opportunity for a primary care medical receptionist, based in West Swindon. The roles involves daily face to face and telephone contact with patients, arranging of appointments and follow up of patient related tasks. The practice aims to develop the role by offering further training to the right candidates to fulfil roles in supporting and navigating patients to the most appropriate care for their needs.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include all aspects of reception work in a busy GP surgery. Face to face at the front desk, dealing with a high volume of phone calls and back office administration. A caring, friendly and diplomatic disposition is essential in this role.

Job responsibilities

The positions would especially suit an applicant with previous experience in a primary care setting with an interest in maintaining excellent patient relationships. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work in a pressured environment of a busy practice

This roles involves daily face to face and telephone contact with patients, arranging of appointments and follow up of patient related tasks. The practice aims to develop the roles by offering further training to the right candidates to fulfill these roles in supporting and navigating patients to the most appropriate care for their needs.

The positions are for 27 Hours. £9.50ph including NHS pension & 5 weeks annual leave.

The fixed shifts will be

Monday 8.00am – 6.00pm

Tuesday 7.00am –5.00pm

Friday 8.00am – 6.00pm

Job 2

Wednesday 8.00am - 6.00pm

Thursday 8.00am - 6.00pm

Friday 8.00am - 6.00pm
