Job summary
We are looking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated GP Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy, patient-focused GP practice. The successful candidate will provide strong operational and strategic leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality primary care services.
Working closely with the GP Partners and wider practice team, you will be responsible for overseeing practice performance, workforce management, patient services, compliance with CQC standards, and the effective use of resources. You will lead on service improvement and change management, ensuring robust governance, safety, and administrative processes are maintained at all times.

Main duties of the job
The Practice Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day smooth running of the Practice, including:

Operational management of practice services and workflows

Leadership, line management, recruitment and staff development

Oversight of practice finances, budgeting and financial planning

Coordination of clinical governance, CQC compliance and quality improvement activities

Supporting the delivery of enhanced services, QOF, IIF and contractual requirements

- Educated to A-Level standard (or equivalent).
- Good standard of education with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
Desirable
- Relevant management qualification or degree (e.g., healthcare management, business, leadership).
- AMSPAR Level 5 or equivalent primary care management qualification.
- Associate or Full Membership of the IGPM.
Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years management experience within the NHS or in GP Practice management, with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Experience managing people in a changing and dynamic environment.
- Experience working effectively within teams, with the ability to build and promote strong team spirit.
- Experience in financial management, including understanding of budgeting, bookkeeping and payroll processes.
- Experience of working with the general public and managing complex or sensitive situations.Experience implementing new systems, workflows or service improvements.

- Experience using SystmOne clinical system.
