An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic GP to join an innovative and forward thinking practice in Earls Court (Central/West London). We are dedicated to providing excellent care to our 6800 patients.
The practice is a training environment for Medical Students, FY2s, and GP Trainees. It is located near Earls Court Underground Station (5-10 min walk from West Brompton). The clinical and non-clinical teams are long-standing, compassionate, and committed to providing empathetic patient care in a supportive and collaborative manner.
Role Details:
- Salary £10,250-500 (contracted NHSE/DRRB approved uplifts)
- 6-8 sessions/week (essential - Mon, Wed, Fri) to start in August 2025
- In-house CPD opportunities
- 6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave pro rata per annum

- Admin Light (scripts are mainly managed by pharmacists, AI supported document management and scribe)

- Riverside (Chelsea) VTS training practice and Chelsea FY2 doctors
- Excellent team of doctors and clinicians working closely with a wider MDT

- Rotating Weekly clinical meetings - Frailty MDT, safeguarding, clinical and full practice meeting
- Team building workshops Biannually

Main duties of the job
1) In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, referrals and correspondence in a timely manner.
2) Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the Practice.
3) Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
4) Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
5) In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.
6) Providing counselling and health education.
7) Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.
8) Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
9) Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
10)Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
11) The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

The GPs at the practice specialise in a range of areas, such as Child Health, Cardiology, Diabetes, Asthma, Womens Health, Musculoskeletal disorders, Care of the Elderly, and General Medicine. The team are encouraged to be involved in teaching and training and clinical leadership.
The practice manager oversees the smooth running of the practice. The management team is committed to creating an organised and efficient environment that allows clinicians to focus on patient care.
The practice also includes Nurse, HCAs and clinical pharmacists who work in tandem with the GPs. We are part of Brompton PCN - having access to GP hubs that provide extended GP appointment access, MH workers, Neighbourhood Navigators, home visiting service and much more.
