Job summary
To be responsible for the provision of a clinical service, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population.
The physician associate will be required to work autonomously in the practice, providing a range of services such as assessment, diagnosis, treatment, telephone triage, clinical decision-making and referring patients appropriately, as well as supporting the management team in the reviewing of clinical policy and procedure when required.
Main duties of the job
We are looking a newly qualified or experienced Physician Associate to join our multidisciplinary team. The opportunity has arisen as the partnership is looking to boost its numbers and diversify the disciplines of our front-line clinical team.
About us
The Royton & Crompton Family Practice is a training practice and has a tier two licence with an excess of 21,500 patients based in modern premises with excellent links to Manchester and the motorway networks.
With 4 GP Partners and an experienced Multi-disciplinary team, including Salaried GPs, ANPs, Practice Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists, HCAs and an experienced Admin Team using the EMIS web clinical system. The practice is a high achiever and has recently been rated Good by the CQC.

- -Postgraduate Diploma/Master in Physician Associate from an accredited UK University
- -Bachelor Degree in Life Science/Biomedical/Nursing or Allied Health Science
- -Member of Faculty of Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register (PAMVR)
- -Valid national certification and recertification every six years stipulated by PAMVR
- -For USA trained candidates: Current and valid certification with the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- -Basic or advanced Life Support
- -Equal Opportunity training in the last three years
