Job summary
We
are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual to join the HBD PCN (Primary
Care Network).
You
will be joining at an exciting time and be a key player in the PCN and roll out
of new reporting technologies to help provide the PCN with accurate and up to
date data which will be improved by detailed analysis. This would be done using
a wide variety of statistical methods to help inform decision-making that will
have a direct impact on patient care.
We
are looking for an experienced Senior Analyst or someone looking to take the
next step in their career to join our busy and highly skilled Team.
A
logical thinker who can work using your own initiative, you will also be a
confident and excellent communicator who is able to translate data to wide
variety of people. This will enable them to clearly understand what you are
explaining to help make informed decisions.
Educated
to degree level, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline plus a post-graduate
diploma or equivalent experience. Data Analyst experience is essential with an
excellent track record of being able to produce high-quality analytics using a
variety of tools and methodologies as required.
Main duties of the job
1. The post holder will provide information reports and analysis to support business planning, service development and performance management within the HBD PCN’s clinical workstreams.
2. The post holder will research, interpret and compare data from multiple sources, including data from GP practice systems, QOF, E Z Analytics, Dr Foster systems, demographics, disease prevalence, national systems and secondary care where appropriate.
3. The post holder will acquire, interpret and validate data robustly, drawing independent conclusions, and identifying underlying trends, correlations, benchmarks, significance, and outliers.
4. The post holder will ensure consistent data services are developed across the PCN, taking the initiative to build strong and effective communication with PCN colleagues. Supporting PCN Practices with audits and reports.

About us
The HBD PCN is a network of 6 practices in a
well-defined area of South East London, Lambeth, covering 60, 000 plus patients.
We are working with our Federation, community partners, local Trusts and the
wider NHS to develop services around the health and wellbeing of the local
community.
The
HBD PCN would like to establish a systematic approach to data collection and analysis
in collaboration with KHP (King's Health Partnership). To develop its portfolio
of services so the local population benefit from high quality services that are
data led and that will have a positive impact on their health outcomes.
This
HBD PCN recognises the importance of data analysis and Population Health initiatives.
The successful postholder will benefit from learning and development opportunities
through our collaboration within KHP, while supporting a PCN in their central
role in providing coordinated and integrated care. The role,
therefore, includes access to KHP primary care webinars, internal KHP professional
development team sessions, membership of KHP Learning Hub, and support to be able
to link with other KHP programmes and infrastructure.

To provide specialist advice and interpretation of systems and reporting in both local, regional and national systems.
The candidate will require a working knowledge of NHS data.
Experience of dealing with ICD10, OPCS, read codes, SNOMED and HRGs is preferable.
Candidates will be required to present data creatively using a number of software tools, this will require developed skills in excel, SQL, and Power BI. It will also require an understanding of structuring data and using databases.
Liaison and Partnership Working:
The post holder will:
Ensure consistent data services are developed across the PCN, taking the initiative to build strong and effective communication with PCN colleagues.
Support PCN Practices with audits and reports.
Attend meetings, forums, working groups to represent the service, on behalf of the team or HBD PCN as appropriate
