Job summary

To cover administrative duties involved within the operational running of the practice, patient access, file management, office organisation and associated tasks.

Main duties of the job

Job Responsibilities:

Assist the administrative team in patient facing situations

Assist the administrative team in call handling

Assist the team with administrational duties

Assist with clinical coding where required

Assist with referral management where required

Assist the Supervisor with day to day operational tasks

Analyse statistics and produce reports for the Management Team

Support the wider staff team in a positive proactive way

Oversee patient pathways in a positive manner

Carry out regular audits where needed

Facilitate a safe working environment

Actively work towards supporting the PPG

To deal with patients/patient queries in a timely and efficient manner

Dealing with some complaints that may arise

Use initiative to problem solve and offer support and guidance to members of the team

Use initiative to bring new ideas of working to the team and practice

  • Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
  • Reporting potential risks identified.
