Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare professionals in the surgery with patient care.
Perform basic medical procedures such as phlebotomy, doing ECG, taking blood pressure, doing NHS health checks, help with flu vaccination.
Provide support to the Staff Nurse in all possible ways.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Assist with the general day-to-day operations of the surgery.
About us
The GP Practice is located in Stalybridge City Centre close to the bus and train station. We are housed in a large Victorian building with plenty of accommodation. We are part of Stalybridge, Mossley and Dukinfield Primary Care Network and the Network hub is situated on the first floor of the surgery building.

The role of HCA is an essential part of our GP Practice team who provide the full range of NHS Primary Medical Services. You will be working alongside our friendly and patient focused clinical and management teams, providing an essential support function and delivering the best care to all our patients. You must work with autonomy and a high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, discretion, empathy and tact.

- Ordering supplies and equipment
- Demonstrates an understanding of General Practice
- To ensure fridge temperatures are monitored daily
