Job summary

We are looking to recruit a hardworking, enthusiastic and dedicated person to support the overall management of performance and quality standards within the practice.

This will include managing and coordinating the surgery efforts to ensure that performance management and quality improvement programs are developed and managed using data driven focus that sets priorities aligned to all contractual obligations.

The post holder will manage all clinical information to ensure that collection and submission of details are accurate and adhere to relevant deadlines to achieve this by extraction, analysing and collection of data from the clinical computer systems.

The poster holder will be expected to assist with resolving data quality issues and to support the practice management team in providing advice and guidance to all practice staff in the use of the clinical system. To oversee the claims process for work undertaken as part of enhanced national or local services. Working closely with the management team and Partners to ensure that the best patient care is delivered and that information is correctly captured.

The successful candidate must be able to work on their own initiative and have some supervisory experience, along with strong IT skills and be proficient in the Emis clinical system. You must be organised and confident, have a friendly and approachable manner and can work under pressure.

The vacancy is a full time position working 37 hours across a 5 day week.

Main duties of the job

  • Design and run searches and reports as defined by the Partners and/or the Practice Manager.
  • Support the management team to review practice systems and process to develop improvements and streamline the process flow.
  • Be aware of national, local and practice quality standards for chronic disease management, primary care KPIs, relevant targets and contractual obligations, including but not limited to; GP Contract, QOF (Quality Outcomes Framework), Enhanced Services and locally commissioned services.
  • To be the practice administration lead for QOF, enhanced services and clinical recall.
  • Undertake analysis of our data to idenity where there are areas of improvement that will impact on patient care/safety and practice performance/funding.

We are a training practice for both medical students, GP trainees and career start nurses and encourage development within the practice.
