Job summary

We are a large teaching and training GP practice located in Holborn, looking for an enthusiastic Reception Supervisor to lead our reception team. This role is full-time, 37.5 hours. Salary depending on experience. You must have at least 2 years of experience working in a GP practice managing a team, have IT skills, and be able to work under pressure. About us

The clinical team comprises of 8GPs, 2 Partners, 1 registrars, 1PAs, 2 Pharmacists and 2 Practice Nurses

Holborn is a PMS practice with a growing list size of approximately 12000 patients

High QOF and LES achievements

Training practices (undergraduate, postgraduate) opportunities to get involved with teaching.

Last CQC inspections at both practices were (Good)

Excellent transport links close to Holborn and Russell Square tube stations

Oversee day to day running of the reception area and team ensuring the team work effectively

Induction and training of all new reception staff to agreed standards.

Ensure appropriate use of appointments.

Deal with all general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow up appointments for patients

Receive and work with management to resolve all complex enquiries to a satisfactory conclusion either face to face or by phone within the practice.

Register new patients including compilation of patient files.

Take responsibility for the delivery of safe, effective, high quality reception service

To manage time and resources effectively with an ability to prioritise workload and be flexible in response to changing or urgent needs when required

To ensure the reception and waiting room are kept tidy and free of hazard at all times as well as maintain the notice boards across the practice up to date

Ensure all work is carried out with agreed time scales in accordance with practice policy

The successful candidate will have GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths or equivalent good understanding of IT systems Attention to detail Stay calm under pressure Work well in a team
