Job summary

Salters Meadow Centre has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HCA to join our friendly practice team.

We are seeking a team player with a flexible and committed attitude to work.

The HCA will assist in delivering treatment, preventative care, patient education and heath promotion.

Main duties of the job

You will be working under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and GP's in accordance with practice guidelines and protocols. The HCA will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of clinical care.

Nursing

  • New patient health checks
  • BP Monitoring
  • Urinalysis
  • NHS health checks
  • Administer injections as per the HCA role, such as flu and B12 injections.
  • Provide lifestyle advice and make necessary referrals
  • Weight monitoring
  • Ensure specimen's are labelled and bagged ready for collection.
  • Restocking of equipment and stock rotation
  • Chaperoning
  • Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording

Administration and professional responsibilities

  • Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the practice team
  • Ensure accuracy of all consultations and treatments recorded
  • Attend and participate in practice meetings as required
  • To create/send recall letters/texts for clinics

About us

Salters Meadow Centre has a patient population of approximately 12000 and is a forward thinking practice based in Burntwood.

The partnership consists of four GP's supported by the Nurse Manager/ANP, Paramedic, Practice Nurses, Phlebotomist and Administration team.

We are also a training practice for GP Registrars.

The practice clinical system is EMIS Web.
