- Emis/ Docman/ Accurx system
- Daily Triage/ Duty Day
- Comprehensive practice team, including Practice Pharmacist, first contact Physio, Practice Nurses, Nurse Associates andHCAs.
- A range of direct and local enhanced services
- CQCInspected rated Good
- Part of Thame PCN
We are looking for a part time/full time Practice Nurse to work alongside our current team.
To provide assessment, screening, treatment services and health education advice. Advise patients on general health care and minor ailments with referral to general practitioners as necessary.
PN Duties including but not limited to:
Dietary and weight management advice
Blood pressure checks
Urinalysis
Dressings
Compression therapy
Phlebotomy (As required)
Routine injections and immunisations
Contraception injections and monitoring
Minor injuries review
Childhood immunisations
Travel immunisations and advice
Removal of sutures and clips
Diabetes monitoring
Long term condition monitoring
General health advice
Cytology
Swabs
Health checks
Dopplers/ leg ulcer assessment and care
Infection control management / audits etc.
Main duties of the job
PN Duties including but not limited to:

Treatment room supplies and equipment
In participation with other nursing team members, ensure the maintenance of equipment and stock levels relating to patient care.
Administrative and professional responsibilities
Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the Practice team.
Ensure accurate notes of all consultations and treatments are recorded in the EMIS patient record.
Ensure the clinical computer system is kept up to date with accurate details recorded.
Ensure that prescriptions are issued and signed appropriately.
Attend and participate in practice meetings as required.
Restocking and maintenance of clinical areas and consulting rooms.
Maintenance of equipment and stock relating to patient care.
