Lake Road Practice is looking for a committed, enthusiastic and highly motivated team
member to join our rapidly expaning Administration Team.
The main aim of the
role is to assist GP's with the flow of correspondence that comes into the
Partnership. This would be dealing with hospital letters, reports and patient
communications etc..
In addition, the administrator will identify any
key clinical data from correspondence, such as new diagnoses, peak flow
measures, BP recordings, height, weight, smoking status and read code
accordingly
Main duties of the job
- Scanning of letters and
relevant correspondence into patients notes.
- Read Coding the information
into the Partnerships clinical system
- Transferring relevant data
from clinical correspondence and input into electronic patient record.
- Workflow all correspondence
according to the Partnerships protocol using the workflow software and
action as appropriate
- Filing and retrieving
paperwork
- File copies of discharge
summaries electronically
- Processing New Registration forms
- Handle telephone queries and
re-direct as appropriate
- Ensure security of data at
all times
- Respond in a timely manner
to requests sent into the Partnership email account
- You will need to have good
communication skills both written and verbal, be organised, methodical and
able to work quickly and accurately
- A good understanding of
medical terminology and read codes is required

The main responsibilities of the post-holder will be reviewing all incoming correspondence received or created within the Organisation ready for review.
You will scan, read code and workflow relevant information from patients clinical records, hospital correspondence and other sources into the Organisations computer system, working strictly in accordance with the Organisations workflow protocols.
KEY/MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
