Job summary

Apsley Surgery are looking for a receptionist to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday morning from 830 am to 12.30 The job will include meeting and greeting patients, filing documents on Docman, answering queries on the telephone, liaising with outside agencies and booking appointments.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be DBS checked before starting with the surgery and will need to be an excellent team player, trustworthy, caring and compassionate.

About us

Apsley Surgery is an expanding General Practice in Stoke-on-Trent covering approximately 7000 patients across two sites. We are a patient centred, proactive surgery and we are looking for like minded staff member to join us to mainly cover our branch site at Norton on four morning per week.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and administrative duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, patient registration, booking appointments, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
