Provide a service to Patients who are eligible for Practice dispensing
To
contribute to the efficient and effective running of the practice
dispensary
To
provide a repeat prescription ordering service to patients/carers and
nursing and residential homes that follows practice and medicines
management guidelines
Main duties of the job
Undertake
the timely and safe dispensing of all drugs prescribed to dispensing
patients, observing all the relevant legal requirements
About us
We are a supportive, close-knit team of clinical and administrative staff including 6 GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Healthcare Assistant, Dispensing staff, Secretarial staff and Reception Staff.
As a training Practice we regularly host Doctors in Training, as well as engaging fully with Well Up North, our PCN, and the full range of Additional Roles staff, including First Contact Physio, Clinical Pharmacists and Technicians, GP Link Workers, Mental Health Workers and Health & Wellbeing Coaches

Job responsibilities
Assist with the daily ordering of dispensary stock as directed
Receive stock deliveries from wholesalers and be responsible for checking invoices, unpacking and storage
Maintain an accurate stock balance of all drugs within the dispensary on a daily basis.
Dispose of expired drug stock and patient returns which comply with the medicine safety standards.
Assist in the completion of the regulated Controlled Drugs Register
Dispense and record private prescriptions and corresponding payments.
Assist in the monthly completion of Form FP34 PPD.
Ensure dispensary equipment is properly maintained, cleaned and monitored (e.g vaccine fridge)
Ensure the safe and secure storage of all drugs within the dispensary.
