Job summary

Great North Medical Group are currently looking for an individual to cover maternity leave, (with the possibility of a job share after 12 months) as a HR Lead you will focus on employee relations matters, terms and conditions of service and related workforce initiatives throughout. To work within Practice policies/procedures and employment law under supervision, but at times autonomously, taking advice from senior colleagues as required.

Main duties of the job

To manage the administration, nursing, and health care assistant team, ensuring that regular supervisions and appraisals are carried out; managing sickness and absences within the team; providing supervisions and appraisals and ensuring that areas are fully resourced and that there is always cover within the service.

First point of contact for staff with issues or quires

Onboarding (Rotating Registrars) Induction delivery

Monitor and develop training.

First line grievance and disciplinaries

Chair Team Meetings (Admin, Nurse/HCA & HR Leadership)

Support the welfare and wellbeing of employees.

Annual Appraisals / 1-2-1 mid-year review

Ensure cover with annual leave and rotas.

Liaising with colleagues to share reporting requirements and gather information to an agreed timetable.

Provide advice on HR matters to colleagues in the business.

Work closely with the Governance lead to review policies and procedures within the practice on HR

About us

Great North Medical Group operates from two sites, one situated on Chestnut Avenue, Carcroft and the other Princess Street, Woodlands.We currently have 9 GPs, 2 ANPs, 8 Nurses and 4 Health Care Assistants. We hold a patient list size of approximately 17,000 patients which makes us currently the largest Practice in Doncaster, our practice motto isto be the best!

To support training and development of administrative staff, Nurses, and HCA.

Work within risk management and health and safety policies and procedures within GP practices protocols.

Adhere to a robust process for recording learning events, complaints, accidents and significant events

To provide support to assist with the development and management of any changes or new processes and systems that need implementing.

To carry out any other appropriate duties as determined by the organisation

Personal/Professional development

Participate in any training programme implemented by the practice, such training to include:

participation in an annual individual performance review, including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and/or professional development. Attending team sessions called Target and completing company set E-Learning objectives.
