Job summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, visionary and committed Registered Nursing Associate to join our friendly forward thinking team.
Full time position working across Monday-Friday
This is a varied role that will include a wide range of duties and supporting care given by other professionals and the Nurse Associate will work independently, following Practice protocols.

Main duties of the job
Maintain a high professional standard of nursing care in adherence to all Practice protocols/policies & guidelines, as well as to provide nursing assistance to the GPs and other members of the team.
Assist and perform routine nursing tasks related to patient care, such as immunisations, cervical screening, wound management and chronic disease management along with routine BP checks, ECG, suture and clip removal and BMI and lifestyle advice as directed and agreed with the Practice Manager and GP Partners.
You will maintain accurate electronic clinical health care records.
The role of the Nursing Associate needs to be flexible in line with the present atmosphere for change within the health service delivery. It is essential that the nursing associate works within their own level of competency and expand her/his role in accordance with practice requirements and own scope of practice.

- Responsible for attending to patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional; treating patients and advising people in respect of their continuing nursing needs.
- To priorities the needs of patients accordingly making any necessary referrals for investigations in the appropriate manner.

- Become the adviser for all immunisation to all other clinical and administrative staff.
Wound Management
- Perform wound care using aseptic technique
- Undertake uncomplicated dressings, including leg ulcers

Cervical Screening
- Advise patients on the national and local cervical cytology and mammography screening programmes
- Undertake a programme of cervical cytology sampling under supervision until competent
