We have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking
and innovative Paramedic, to join the Northamptonshire Rural Primary Care
Network, working for Crick Medical Practice.
You will be based at Crick Medical Practice and the role will involve working closely with the GP Team, Nurses and Pharmacists as part of Service. The post holder will triage, see patients within the surgery and visit patients in their place of residence. They will see those who present with a wide range of minor illness and who have urgent and same day requests.

This role could suit a clinician who wants to continue working out in the community and simultaneously in general practice, so maintaining existing skills alongside learning those used in Primary Care.
qualified HCPC Paramedic with a full UK driving licence. An advanced Paramedic Practitioner with the ability to independently prescribe would be advantageous but not essential.
Experience in Primary care would be preferred but not essential.
Main duties of the job
Asses and triage patients, including same day triage, and as appropriate provide definitive treatment or make necessary referrals to other members of the primary team
Advice patients on general healthcare and promote self- management, where appropriate, including signposting patients to the organisation's social prescribing service and, where appropriate, other community or voluntary services.
Perform
specialist health checks and reviews within their scope of practice and in line with
local and national guidance
Perform
and interpret ECGs
Perform
investigatory procedures as required and undertake the collection of
pathological specimens including intravenous blood samples, swabs and other
samples within their scope of practice and within line of local and national
guidance
Support
the delivery of anticipatory care plans and lead certain services (e.g.,
monitoring blood pressure and diabetes risk of elderly patients)
Communicate
at all levels across organisations ensuring that an effective, person-centred
service is delivered
Communicate
proactively and effectively with all colleagues across the MDT, attending and
contributing to meetings as required
Communicate effectively with patients and, where
appropriate, family members and their carers, where applicable, complex and
sensitive information regarding their physical health needs, results, findings
and treatment choices

Crick Medical Practice is a supportive training practice, consisting of, 5 GPs, multidisciplinary clinical team, and an administrative support team.
With approx. 6500 patients rated Good at CQC (August 2016)
Crick Medical Practice is based in Crick a village in Northamptonshire with nearby rail services.
